24 December 1923 - a day when arguably the best playback singer of Hindi Cinema was born. It has been more than three decades since the demise of the great Rafi, as he rightly mentioned in one of his songs : 'Ye zindagi ke melay dunya mai kam na hongay, afsos ham na hongay' - Translation: The amusements in the world will not come to an end but alas, we'll be no more.
